Urszula Stachewicz is an associate professor at AGH University in Krakow leading the
Electrospun Fibers Group. She graduated with PhD from Delft University of Technology with research performed at Philips Research Laboratories in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. She conducted the postdoctoral research at Queen Mary, University of London (UK) and work at spin-out company Nanoforce Technology Ltd. in polymer science and electrospun fibers. In 2018 she was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge, UK. Her research is focused on electrospun fibers and membranes for biomedical and water and energy harvesting using biomimetic approaches. In 2020 she has been awarded with the ERC starting grant BioCom4SavEn, http://biocom4saven.agh.edu.pl/
